You must have reached the age of majority under the laws of your jurisdiction to purchase access to Series content (as defined below) on the Platform. These terms and conditions (“Series Terms”) govern your access to Series content on the Platform. The access to Series content on the Platform is entirely voluntary. Series is currently available only in selected countries.

In these Series Terms, “TikTok”, “we”, “us” or “our” refers to TikTok Pte. Ltd., a company registered in Singapore with its registered office at One Raffles Quay, #26-10, South Tower, Singapore 048583. Series is a TikTok feature that enables users to post content behind a paywall. TikTok sells access to the Series content that users may create and upload to the platform (each a "Creator").

Please read these Series Terms carefully before you purchase access to Series content on the Platform. Series content is intended solely for your personal entertainment. You should not rely on Series content or any other content posted on the TikTok platform for any purpose. TikTok nor Creators provide any representations or warranties with respect to any part of Series content or with respect to the production, creation and/or your ability to purchase access to Series content.

If you do not agree to these Series Terms, please do not pay to access Series on the Platform. Capitalised terms used but not defined in these Series Terms shall have the meaning set out in our Terms of Service (including without limitation to the Virtual Items Policy) or Community Guidelines. These Series Terms shall be interpreted and governed in accordance with our Terms of Service. In the event of any inconsistency or conflict between these Series Terms and our Terms of Service, these Series Terms shall prevail. Any personal data processed in connection with your purchase of Series will be processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

1. What are Series and how can you watch it?

Series is a TikTok feature that enables users to post a collection of video content behind a paywall. TikTok sells access to the Series content that users may create and upload to the platform. Series content can only be viewed on the Platform. The total price of the Series or selected Series video(s), including any applicable tax and TikTok's service fee, will be displayed before you purchase access to Series content, and you should check and confirm how much it costs before making a purchase. You will be able to track your spending on Series content by accessing Settings and Privacy > Balance > Transaction History, which will display how much you have spent on Series.

2. How do you pay for access and viewing of Series content?

You may access Series content via in-app purchase or TikTok Webpage. If you have any questions about purchasing access to Series content using an in-app payment (including if you wish to cancel any purchase that you have made), please refer to the third-party app store's terms and conditions as those apply to in-app purchases. TikTok may allow for additional and/or alternative methods to purchase Series in the future at its sole and absolute discretion.

2.1 Eligibility to purchase a Series

To purchase a Series, you must: (a) be a registered user of the Platform; and (b) have reached the age of majority under the laws of your jurisdiction. We may refuse your attempt to purchase a Series at our sole and absolute discretion, including where we reasonably believe that you have not reached the age of majority under the laws of your jurisdiction.

2.2 Restriction of use of a Series

Purchases of Series are strictly for your personal and non-commercial use only. The purchased Series may not be resold and they are not transferable.

2.3 Price of a Series

We will display the total price on the page where each access to the Series content is advertised for sale.

2.4 Access and viewing of a Series

We will do our best to ensure you are able to access and view the purchased Series from your account on the Platform as soon as payment is successfully processed. If, for any reason, there is a mistake in granting you access to a Series on the Platform, we will contact you and correct the mistake as soon as reasonably practicable.

2.5 Unsuccessful payment for Series access

If your payment method is declined, your order will be cancelled automatically. TikTok will not be responsible for any issues between you and your card issuer, bank or other payment service provider and/or for any losses suffered by you or any other person as a result of any breach or default by these third parties, as the case may be.

2.6 No payment services

You acknowledge and agree that TikTok:

2.6.1 does not provide any payment services to you;

2.6.2 is not regulated to provide payment services; and

Any payment services carried out pursuant to these Series Terms will be provided and conducted by other third parties and/or affiliates acting on our behalf.

2.7 Withdrawal Rights and Refunds

Except as otherwise required by the applicable laws of your jurisdiction, you may request a refund only if the Series content you paid to access is defective or taken down for violating our Terms of Service or Community Guidelines. Additionally, provided that you have not viewed or otherwise consumed more than 25% of the total running time of the Series content, you may withdraw from your purchase within fourteen (14) calendar days and request a refund (without the need to give any reason for such request), starting the day after you pay to access the Series content (the “Withdrawal Period”).

To withdraw from your purchase, you can either contact the relevant third party app store you relied on to make the purchase directly (such as the Apple App Store or the Google Play Store) for a refund or our customer support team. If you choose to contact the third party app store, your request for refund may be subject to its refund policy. If you choose to contact us, you must provide with the relevant transaction number of the Series content you paid to access that you wish to withdraw from through Settings via privacy > Support > Report a Problem.

Please note that if you successfully withdraw from your purchase, we will provide you with a partial refund or full refund of the sum paid by you for the Series content you paid to access, in accordance with the Series Terms. Partial or full refunds will be distributed to you via your original payment method, and may take up to thirty (30) calendar days to appear in your account, depending on the payment method you originally used to make the purchase.

3. Your rights

The Creator grants you permission (also called a licence) to access and view the Series content that you have purchased strictly for your personal and non-commercial use on the Platform. This means that you have no right to or title in any of the Series content that you have purchased except as expressly stated in these Series Terms. You may not use, distribute, transfer, sell or exchange the access and/or viewing rights to any Series content, or attempt to use, distribute, transfer, sell or exchange any Series content otherwise than expressly permitted in these Series Terms. Unless otherwise expressly stated, the Series content does not have an expiry date.

3.1 Termination of access to Series content

Notwithstanding anything to the contrary as set out in these Series Terms, for legal, regulatory or business reasons, we reserve the right to stop offering access to Series content to certain categories of users, or in certain countries or regions. We may also stop offering access to Series content entirely at our sole and absolute discretion. If we decide to do so, and such decision affects your rights to access and/or view the Series content you paid to access, we endeavour to give you reasonable advance notice. In such a notice, TikTok will let you know how much longer you will have remaining to access and/or view the Series that you have purchased from your account on the Platform.

3.2 Termination of your access and/or viewing rights

We may terminate and/or suspend your right to access, purchase and/or view Series content immediately if we reasonably believe that we have a legitimate reason to do so based on our assessment, including any serious or repeated breach by you of our Terms of Service or Community Guidelines or any suspected violation of applicable laws. If you believe that we have made an error in this regard, you may get in touch with us through Settings and privacy > Support > Report a Problem.

3.3 No refunds unless expressly stated

Except as expressly set out in the “Withdrawal Rights and Refunds” section above, you will not be eligible nor entitled to a refund in any other manner or under any other circumstances. As such, we encourage you, where possible, to access, view or otherwise consume the Series that you have paid for access to before you cease to have access to your account on the Platform.

4. Other

4.1 Severability

In the event that any provision of these Series Terms is determined to be illegal or unenforceable, that provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it valid, legal and enforceable. If such modification is not possible, the relevant provision or part-provision shall be deemed deleted. Any modification to or deletion of a provision or part-provision under this section shall not affect the validity and enforceability of the rest of these Series Terms.

4.2 Language

These Series Terms have been prepared in the English language and other language(s). In the event of any inconsistency or different interpretation between the English text and the text in the other language(s), the English text shall prevail and the relevant text in the other language(s) shall be deemed to be automatically amended to conform, and to make the relevant text in the other language(s) to be consistent, with the relevant English text.

4.3 Governing law and jurisdiction

In the event of a dispute between you and TikTok arising out of or relating to these Terms, the dispute will be resolved pursuant to Section 11 of our Terms of Service.

4.4 Changes to the Series Terms

We amend these Terms from time to time. We will use commercially reasonable efforts to generally notify users of any material changes to these Terms, such as through a notice on our Platform, however, you should look at the Terms regularly to check for such changes. We will also update the “Last Updated” date at the top of these Terms, which reflect the effective date of such Terms. Your continued access or use of TikTok Series after the date of the new Terms constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.

5. Jurisdiction Specific Terms

Korea. If you are purchasing access to Series content in Korea, the following additional terms apply. In the event of any conflict between the following additional terms and the provisions of the main body of the Series Terms, the following terms shall prevail.

• Withdrawal Rights and Refunds. Partial or full refunds will be distributed to you via your original payment method within three (3) business days, provided that, it may take up to thirty (30) calendar days to appear in your account in case there is a delay by third party providers despite TikTok’s timely response or in case your original payment method requires third party providers to technically process your refund, depending on the payment method you originally used to make the purchase.
